The Horse Dreams workshop is designed to help us renew our energies, reconnect with our deepest yearnings and align our lives with our hearts’ desires. We come into the world full of liveliness, curiosity, passion, and joyfulness. So often we get distracted by life’s challenges and responsibilities only to discover that we are squandering precious time. In this workshop the horses help us remember who we truly are and how we can manifest our most exuberant and creative selves. We will explore our authentic selves on and off the horses, with yoga, meditation, drawing, writing and sharing, and get a glimpse of how to realign our lives to be our unique best selves. Basic Epona skills and activities will be offered including:
- Emotions as information: the Emotional Message Chart
- Moving beyond our conditioned responses to a more authentic presence
- Boundaries: practicing both engaging others and setting clear personal limits
- Body awareness and information: practicing scanning the body for sensation and arousal
- Interacting with horses and practicing horse-human communication
- Reflective round pen activity
- Practicing authenticity in community
This is an introductory level workshop and qualifies as a prerequisite for individuals who wish to do advanced Epona work or the Apprenticeship. No riding experience is necessary. Mounted and unmounted activities will be offered.
